Definition of an Auto Wrecker
An auto wrecker is very similar to a tow truck. They are often called in after an accident and help clean up any of the mess and if needed they will tow the auto to either repair shops or an impound lot. If a car is totally wrecked, the auto wrecker may take it away to a lot where it will be salvaged for parts, or if nothing else, the metal will be melted down and reused.
Auto wreckers also tow away unwanted vehicles from private property upon request. If you have an old worthless car, you could call an auto wrecker. The auto wrecker would then take the car away free of charge.
Where to look for an Auto Wrecker
If you need an auto wrecker, the best place to find one would be the phone book. You may also be able to find auto wreckers online in a local directory. However, auto wrecking is not the most high tech business and most auto wreckers do not have a website.
